The project “Supporting the Ecosystem of Social Impact Enterprises in Vietnam to Respond to COVID-19 (ISEE-COVID)” with funding from Global Affairs Canada, has been Co -implemented by UNDP and the Enterprise Development Agency of the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment. The project aims to enhance the resilience of social impact businesses (SIBs) in Vietnam and contribute to reducing the impact of COVID-19 on vulnerable groups, especially women and girls.
Global Affairs Canada is the department of the Government of Canada that manages Canada’s diplomatic and consular relations, promotes Canadian international trade, and leads Canada’s international development and humanitarian assistance. It is also responsible for maintaining Canadian government offices abroad with diplomatic and consular status on behalf of all government departments.
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is headquartered in New York City.
UNDP has a global development network, present in more than 166 countries with the main mission of promoting innovation and serving as a bridge between countries with knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP’s operating costs are funded through optional grants from individuals and organizations around the world.
The ISEE COVID project has the overall goal of:
(i) capacity building of social impact enterprises (SIBs), thereby supporting disadvantaged groups including women, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities..
(ii) Capacity building and coordination among intermediaries supporting the SIB;
(iii) Strengthen the capacity of policy formulation and implementation of state management agencies to create favorable conditions for SIBs to develop, contributing to the implementation of sustainable development goals.
Ms. Hong Trang – CEO of EDUBELIFE have represented EDUBELIFE to cooperate with an organization designated by UNDP (GreenU Green Development Assistance Co., Ltd.) to organize a training course for SIBs on accounting and financial management skills, improving business financial efficiency.
The overall goal of the training activities is to strengthen the capacity of at least 80 SIBs (social impact enterprises) in various aspects of business operations from September to October, 2022. .
The training course was held on September 27 and 28, 2022 with 02 topics
- Determining the “right” price and the optimal selling price strategy
- Effective management of business finance
TRAINING RESULTS: are more than expected (based on Organizing Committee’s servey report)
100% of students find it useful; in which 89% are VERY helpful about the content of the training program.
100% of students rated there was an improvement in financial management after the course.
The average score of all enterprises on a 5-point scale (five points) on:
– Overall course quality: 4,926 points (equivalent to 9.85 on a 10-point scale)
– Course objectives and content are clearly presented: 4,926 points (equivalent to 9.85 on a 10-point scale)
– Knowledge and qualifications of teachers: 4,963 points (equivalent to 9.93 on a scale of 10)
– Methods of imparting, sharing and presenting knowledge and skills of lecturers: 4,889 points (equivalent to 9.78 on a scale of 10)
– How to solve problems and answer questions from lecturers during the training course: 4.889 points (equivalent to 9.78 on a 10-point scale)
