EDUBELIFE – GIVE LOVE TO HIV & LGBT COMMUNITY

Since 2014, Healthy Markets has supported key population (those most affected by HIV in Vietnam including men who have sex with men, people who inject drugs, transgender women and sex workers)-led CBOs, social enterprises and private clinics, to address critical gaps in HIV service delivery through market-based thinking, human-centered design and shared value partnerships.  To generate solutions that foster self-reliance and a vibrant market for HIV-related goods and services, Healthy Markets has provided targeted capital through an Innovation Fund, business start-up grants and connections to additional investment through likeminded investors. Healthy Markets, in collaboration with CSIP, has offered bespoke technical assistance and market intelligence to CBOs and social enterprises to strengthen business planning and skills, among those registered as a social enterprise and opened their own clinics to enable greater autonomy and self-sufficiency.

In this program, Ms. Hong Trang – CEO of EDUBELIFE was pleasure to be invited by the organizers, international organizations USAID, PATH and domestic organization CSIP to participate in training and coaching for Social Enterprises (SEs) in skills of corporate financial management and external capital mobilization.

Ms. Hong Trang – CEO of EDUBELIFE  trained the leader teams of SEs for 2 days focusing on the following topics:

• The company’s capital structure and the sources of capital available in the market;
• Company financial planning and management, including tax regulations and tax management for a social enterprise;
• The financial investment types (loans, convertible debt, debt, equity, convertible grant, grant, guarantee) and what they will use the investment for?

–        Steps to prepare for capital mobilization: from reviewing business models, business / financial planning to attract investors, negotiating, closing deal, etc.;

After finising this course, Ms. Hong Trang continued to coach 3 excellent social enterprises in the above class to prepare an attractive set of documents to raise capital to investors or find suitable strategic partners in the next time
