Oxfam which is a non–profit, non-governmental organization is famous in the world. They have been working in more than 90 countries. Oxfam’s mission is that mobilizing the strength and voice of people against poverty, inequality and injustice over the world.
Oxfam’s first activities in Vietnam took place in 1955, when they provided humanitarian assistance. Since the late 1980s Oxfam have implemented a number of development projects across Vietnam aimed at reducing poverty. Until today, Oxfam’s Vietnam country strategy contributes to shaping the debate on extreme inequality in Vietnam and globally. They seek to change the current narrative that inequality is acceptable and inevitable. Oxfam works in partnership with government, civil society, businesses, communities, media, research institutions in order to influence policy and practices aiming at reversing economic, gender and social inequalities.
Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion CSIP is a leading Vietnam-based, non-governmental and non-for-profit organization working to promotion development of social enterprises and social initiatives by building a social entrepreneurship movement in Vietnam and in the SEA region. CSIP is a trust and longtime partner of Oxfam in implementing their activities in Vietnam.
With introducing from CSIP, Ms. Hong Trang has been invited gladly by OXFARM as an expert, trainer in business finance for CEOs in Vietnam for many years. These are social enterprises, or the firms that have a positive impact on society such as employing a lot of people who have disabilities or are ethnic minorities, operating in remote with economic dificulties…
Ms. Hong Trang has trained and consulted successfully over the years with the feilds below:
- Improve and develop the knowledge and skills in business and financial management
- Building a team of professional financial and accounting personnel
- Consulting to complete the process and policy of financial risk management, business & legal compliance in business and production activities
- Advising on preparing, presenting about the reports of capital mobilazation based on requirements of investors, international funds
Most recently, in December 2020, January 2021, Ms. Hong Trang – CEO of EDUBELIFE, successfully taught CEOs working in the agricultural sector in the OXFAM’s Project “Strengthening impact- driven SMEs in Agriculture value chains in Vietnam (EFD2)”
Through the course “Skills to successfully build a capital raising profile”, the students who are the CEOs, the chief accountants were trained by Ms. Hong Trang with following topics:
- The differrant points in financial governance of agricultural enterprises
- Skills of preparing, reading and analyzing financial statements from the CEO’s perspective
- Skills to set up the reports of domestic and international capital calling
